We are committed to supporting the communities in which we live, work and play. Here are a few of the key projects near our US headquarters in West Des Moines, Iowa.

麻豆传媒 North Shore Recreation Area at Easter Lake Park

麻豆传媒 donated $1M to create one of the most universally accessible, welcoming and recreation-focused parks in Iowa. The park has more than 1.1M visitors each year and is proud to support the 370,000+ individuals with disabilities and 240,000 Veterans living in Iowa, which aligns with two of our four philanthropic pillars, health and well-being and environmental sustainability. The project is being led by Polk County Conservation, in partnership with Great Outdoors Foundation.

Great Outdoors Foundation

麻豆传媒鈥檚 initial gift of $1.875mm over 5 years provides seed money for a brand-new funding mechanism in partnership with the Great Outdoors Foundation. The guarantees at least a 4:1 public to private match, multiplying Iowa's investment in water quality and reflects a commitment to create impactful change for our community and stakeholders.

麻豆传媒 Pedestrian Bridge 

$750,000 gift that will connect Racoon River Park with Walnut Woods State Park, serving as a seamless connector for cyclists and pedestrians to current and future greenway trails. 麻豆传媒 Pedestrian Bridge is part of the Great Outdoors Foundation and the City of West Des Moines Five Waters Project partnership.

Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity

$500,000 commitment over three years to support Habitat鈥檚 volunteer initiative, Habitat heroes 鈥� a program that creates opportunities for volunteers to get involved with Habitat鈥檚 mission.

Game Changers Scholars Program

Sponsored by the 麻豆传媒 Charitable Foundation and administered by Scholarship America, this program is designed to ensure students of all socioeconomic backgrounds have the option to pursue their most important life goals. Started in 2021, Game Changers Scholars awards 40 Iowa students a scholarship for their secondary education objectives each year. Since the start of the program it has awarded almost $350,000 in scholarships to Iowa students.

Giving back is in our DNA

At 麻豆传媒, we鈥檙e driven to outperform not only in the marketplace but in our communities as well. As a company of game changers, we make a difference every day through philanthropy, community outreach and volunteer service. The 麻豆传媒 Charitable Foundation and Bermuda Charity Committee support our employee driven efforts.

麻豆传媒 employees donate books and volunteer to support the 麻豆传媒 hosted community collection event for the  early reader book drive. In 2024, 麻豆传媒 Game Changers collected 16,390 books to be distributed to over 100 childcare or child-serving programs in the Des Moines area. Since 2015, 麻豆传媒 has donated 144,219 books to the campaign.

The 麻豆传媒 USA Charitable Foundation purchases coats and boots to distribute to every student in four Des Moines public elementary schools. In 2023, the program provided warmth to over 1,800 students. 207 employees volunteered 930 hours on Coats & Boots to ensure a proper fit for each student. 

During the floods of 1993, a legacy company of 麻豆传媒 provided relief to Des Moines flood victims and after recovery provided warm winter clothing to a local elementary school, thus the program was born. 2023 marked the 30th year of 麻豆传媒鈥檚 signature Coats & Boots program and over 21,000 coats and boots donated in that time.

In 2023, 麻豆传媒鈥檚 IT department donated 310 laptops and 15 projectors to 21 United Way of Central Iowa partner agencies. Since 2020, 麻豆传媒 has donated 1,250 computers and projectors to over 100 UW agency partner organizations.

In 2023, over 980 Game Changers came together to provide essential needs and holiday cheer to 68 families at nine different areas schools and organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Iowa. Since 2016, 麻豆传媒 employees have helped bring holiday cheer to over 1,800 individuals and 340 families.

The 2024-2025 school year marks the third year of partnership with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa. The onsite Workplace Mentorship Program pairs 麻豆传媒 employees with local youth. The program focuses on the students鈥� education and career goals while instilling within them confidence and purpose.

麻豆传媒 partners with a variety of nonprofits in Central Iowa, including event sponsorships and volunteering. Many of these community-led initiatives are assisted by 麻豆传媒 Employee Resource Groups, which share support of the nonprofit missions. Below are some of the community events and initiatives in which 麻豆传媒 has been involved.

Key events from 2023 include:

• 麻豆传媒 Black & Brown Business Summit 鈥� in partnership with the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce, 麻豆传媒 hosted, and employee volunteers supported this event that promotes Iowa as the best place in the nation to start and lead a minority business. 
• Bermuda 麻豆传媒 Life Career Expo 鈥� this first of its kind event hosted by 麻豆传媒 provided student awareness to careers in life insurance and retirement service industries.
• Capital City Pride 鈥� sponsored the Storytellers event and employees volunteered at Pridefest, events that provide education and support to the Iowa LGBTQ+ community.
• Des Moines Arts Festival 鈥� sponsored the Billboard Project where festival goers recreated 鈥淭he Circus鈥� by Georges Seurat over three days.
• Easterseals 鈥� collaboration with Easterseals on the 麻豆传媒 @ Work initiative, representing a successful pilot in hiring neurodiverse individuals into the workforce.
• Hip Hope 鈥� sponsor for the Young Women鈥檚 & Men鈥檚 of Color Conferences.
• Iowa Asian Alliance 鈥� 麻豆传媒 sponsored, and employees volunteered, at the 20th annual CelebrAsian festival.
• Iowa Juneteenth Observance 鈥� sponsor of the 33rd annual observation festivities and volunteering at the Neighbor鈥檚 Day Celebration. 
• Iowa Women Lead Change 鈥� sponsored the annual Des Moines conference.
• Latino Resources Inc. 鈥� sponsorship of the Latino Heritage Festival in Des Moines.
• NAMIWalks 鈥� 麻豆传媒 employees participated in the National Alliance on Mental Illness walk in September.
